Ocrinus ocrca, commonly known as the killer whale is one of the most widely spread mammals on the planet (second only to humans). They live in a variety of environments and this determines factors such as their genetics, their social structure and their feeding habits.
The purpose of this website is designed to asses my hypotheses, that resident killer whale abundance in the southern regions of British Columbia is affected by availability of salmon, and that the nearby transient killer whale populations positively affect their numbers due to their control on pinnepid populations.
